Although it is worth noting that the book is aimed at the younger end of the market and older children, even some 5 year olds, may consider the story babyish). Jane Clarke is the award-winning author of over 80 books for young children, including popular young fiction series such as Dr.A bit later they did music for porn movies and were dating porn models, which finally led to the end for this band. But in the context of a child relating to the story, it promotes isolating and excluding others solely if they do not look a certain way or cannot do specific things. I understand the criticism of this story for portraying a character who wants to fit in rather than who is happy to stand out. Follow along and help Leon find his way and learn to fit in as you read Britta Teckentrup’s Neon Leon.Getting his start in music in the late 60s and having incredible luck in his friendships along the way, Neon Leon’s life story could easily be made into a really amazing film. In Britta Teckentrup's brilliant interactive picture book, children can can help Leon on his journey by counting his steps, sending him to sleep and giving him lots of reassurance when he's feeling down. The questioning in the book would encourage the reader to think and makes the book more active and the illustrations are nice.
